⅓ pound (151 g) Angel hair pasta 1 pound (453.6 g) jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined. Creole or Italian Seasoning (about 1 teaspoon) 2-3 tablespoons (28.4 - 42.6 g)unsalted butter ½ medium onion , diced 1-2 medium tomato , diced 1 Tablespoon (8.4 g) minced fresh garlic 1/2 teaspoon (2.6 g) red pepper flakes 2 tablespoons (7.5 g) chopped fresh parsley 2 teaspoon (1.8 g) Creole Seasoning (adjust to taste) 1 juice of one whole fresh lemon ¾- 1 cup (176.3 - 235 g) chicken broth Salt and pepper to taste Parmesan Cheese (optional)
Start by boiling angel hair pasta in a large pot, according to box instructions. Drain and set aside.
Generously season the shrimp with creole seasoning , Italian seasoning or your favorite seasoning . Sauté for about 3 -5 minutes , set aside. Add butter to the skillet . Followed by onions, garlic, tomatoes and pepper flakes.
Let it simmer for about for 2 -3 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent any burns.
Pour in chicken stock, parsley and lemon juice. Stir until combined. Add creole seasoning and salt .
Add pasta to the pan, thoroughly mixed so pasta absorbs the sauce . Adjust seasonings and salt to taste
Return shrimp to the pan. Serve warm, with parmesan cheese and garnish with lemon wedge
